Pink Invitation with a splash of chocolate.

Hello, brides !

Tadaaa... The invitation is now exposed. It was fully designed by me based on some save the date template that I found on Google. It was supposed to be a save the date invitation but I guess it was not that necessary for an engagement. So I turn it as an official invitation from me. Hehehe. As I said before, the design was nothing complicated. It was just a design simple enough to ease the heart. You can read my previous entry on the invitation here.

The event will be held in my hometown, Taiping
      on 01.01.2011...

Gosh, I can't wait for it and I'm being nervous for the same time. Hahaha. Less than 2month to go. Wish me luck ~

Sneak-peak on the invitation.

Since the engagement will be a private event for family and friends, I don't really mail the invitation. I only have a few guest on my list. Therefore the invitation will be uploaded through my facebook account and also my blogspot account.

The invitation (e-card) was fully designed by me using Adobe Photoshop CS3. It has a dash of chocolate and pink with some flowery design. I had finished designing it around a month ago and so eager to upload it. But I think I want it to remain as a surprise. You'll see when the time comes for the invites. Hehehe. Its nothing complicated. Just a simple design, enough to ease the heart.

The event will be held in my hometown, Taiping.
To my blogger friends, if you're around the area on 01.01.2011..
Feel free to attend. I seriously would love to know you..

You can leave me a comment or send me an email

so that I can put you name together with the update
when I am formally inviting later.

Hugs and Kisses again ! :)

Doorgift Confusion.

I told my dearly ibunda about these doorgift thingy that I wannna do. Then she just said that people don't give doorgift during engagement... and it'll end up look like a reception with those mini dais and everything...

Therefore, I think... I should cancel giving these doorgift, right?
I'll do better for my wedding doorgift... Hahaha.
There'll be marshmallow, candies, and even cookies...

:)

Enthusiastic.

Ouh, sangat enthusiastic untuk DIY especially lepas tgk mcm2 benda complicated yg senang je nak buat sebenarnya. That's why,

My DIY list will include:
. Hand Bouquet
. Bedroom Deco
. Doogift
. Buah Tangan (something like a Hantaran)
. Mini Dais (maybe, cuz still waiting for confirmation from Mama and Papa)

Banyak kan? So, if tak enthusiastic... Memang berterabur la nnt jwbnye. I guess I'll have to keep up with these passion. First thing first, my hand bouquet. I'll have to find those DIY instructions. I want it with fresh flowers. I wonder where to find such flowers in Taiping.... Hmm... Anyone got any ideas?

Story alkisah Hantaran

Well, I don't really have the pleasure of 'hantaran' hunting. Its not because I'm so busy with the final exam and everything. Its just that I don't have one. Hehehe.

For this engagement, we have agreed that there won't be any hantaran. En. Kekasih Hati is a final semester student for now. As this is one of the most important semester, I don't want him to feel burdened with all this hantaran and stuffs. That's why the hantaran will be given during the solemnization. As for the engagement, I shall receive an engagement ring. And yeah, they will bring some 'buah tangan' with the ring. That's common sense, right? Xkn la nak datang bwk cincin je. Hahaha.

That's all.
Guess, I don't have much to tell about the hantaran since I won't be having one for now.

Entri nak cepat.

Macam yg diperkatakan oleh tajuk, time taip entri ni mmg tengah rushing. Esok ade 2 ujian and 1 kuiz tp satu hape x study lg. Terima kasih kepada assignment yg banyak error smpai menyebabkan 2 hari beturut2 tido kul 5 pagi. Nasib baik buat double-check... fuhh. Penat. Tp tu la, nak update jgk sblum terlupa.

Tema untuk photoshoot dah ditetapkan.

"Childhood Reunion"

Tema ni dipilih memandangkan ia berkait rapat dengan kisah cinta En. Kekasih Hati yg mula dikenali sejak berumur 2 bulan. Weehoo.. time baby lagi dah kenal En. Kekasih Hati. Mase tu, En. Kekasih Hati baru umur 2 tahun. Mase En. Kekasih Hati nyer umur lebih kurang 4 tahun, En. Kekasih Hati yg take over bagi minum susu and buai me tido... *seperti yang diceritakan oleh ibunda* Tp mestila diatas pengawasan. En. Kekasih Hati kecik2 lg dah pandai nakal2 sebab dy selalu pegang tgn I lepas tu bawak I jalan2 main2 merata mase I dah mula belajar berjalan.. *pun diatas ihsan penceritaan ibunda*

Tp makin besar tak pernah pun cakap dgn En. Kekasih Hati sbb tak igt pun kat dy. *Sorry ye, dear* Well, mase kawan best2 tu sampai umur 2 tahun je. Jd x igt. En. Kekasih Hati je igt yg dy penah kwn dgn I. Dan bile makin besar dan makin besar lg, baru mula kenal dgn En. Kekasih Hati. Tp x sempat kenal lama. Lepas En. Kekasih Hati dah mula sambung belaja jauh, kitorang lost contact. I pun sambung blaja jugak. After 2 taun lebih kot, nearly 3 years... jumpa balik dengan En. Kekasih Hati. Mase tu terkesima jgk bile nmpk dy ader kt situ. Firstly, segan giler jumpa dy. Kedua, dy makin hensem dan macho. Oh ye, sekali dy pandang pun dah cair. Kalau senyum lg la. Siot je. Mentang2 la dy dah makin matang. Hahaha. Dan persahabatan pun diteruskan smpaila En. Kekasih Hati cakap nak meminang... dan situasi pun dah berubah mcm yg korang boleh nmpk skrg.

Okey, back to the original story. Alkisahnye kt sini, I tgh mencari idea pose2 yg best untuk photoshoot nnt. Macam tgh membayangkan aksi En. Kekasih Hati melamar menggunakan botol susu... Siape2 ader idea yg comel nnt bgtau I ye.

Thank you ! Sayang korang ! :)

*dan En. Kekasih hati jugak.*

design, design...

So, I've promised that I'm gonna do some updates on the engagement dress's design right? As I've told you before, design tu xde la anything special pun cz dah beli kain lacey macey segala. At first, I really dream of myself having an engagement dress which is from the soft fabrics with beadings.

which should be something like this

*sorry, I can't remember whose pic is this*
if you're the owner, please leave a comment and I'll put the link

except that it might be with simpler beadings, of course

But I have already done the surveys just like what I've told in the previous entry , and its not suitable with my limited time for the preparation and budget. As a result, I've bought laces. Kain tu dah selamat hantar pergi tailor da pun and fitting supposed to be on 15/12.

Design baju tu standard baju kurung moden biase je dengan kain mcm ni,

bezanye, bahagian tengkuk dy ' v neck ' mcm neh ;

lastly, high collar yg lebih kurang mcm ni ;

Mule2 test bakat la jugak, cube lukis cmne rupe design baju tu jgk. Tp x berjaya pulak. Mcm x berapa nak jadi. Tu la sbbnye lmbt je update pasal design neh. Lastly, provide gmbr2 nie jela. Pandai2 la bygkn cmne rupe keseluruhan baju tu eh. Hehehe.

Harap2 baju tu nnt gorgeous.

Cute way of saving Money :)

It is true that having your dream wedding or engagement is an important aspects. This is the time where you choose what ever you want. Realize your dream. But, it is also important to work within your budget.

So, I've been thinking of DIY-ing my doorgift.

I've decided that it must be something edible. Since I've some experience in baking, I guess making the cookies might not be that hard. But the real problem lies with the decorations. How to make it cute?

Actually I kinda imagine it should be in a box like this;

source ; M.A.C

touch it up with some ribbons and tags,
then voila ! you're done.

The thing is, thou its not too much... these boxes will still be costly. The same thing goes to other cute boxes. Luckily, I've done some blog-walking and I stumble upon another better idea for it.

source ; Merisik Gallery

rather that put it in the boxes, put it in the plastics.
You'll save more this way.

And it still had those cute looks.

Great, isn't it? Plus, it is not a must that it should be cookies. It can be marshmallows, candies, or even non-edible things like candles. All you had to do is tie up some ribbons and cute tags. Or you can decorate it with another war either. Up to your own creativity. If you're lazy enough, just make some order. They do have the service for it thou. :)

p/s: still wondering whether I should get back to hometown this weekend. Mama already called because she needs me to make some decision regarding the bedroom's decoration. Oh no, she's making me excited all over for this engagement.

Choosing. Deciding.

On the 7th day of Raya, my famili and I had to attend a funeral at Sg. Buloh. So I told mama, why don't we just go to KL to find the fabrics for engagement dress after that as it is hard to find the right one in Taiping. Well, mama agree with the idea so we went to SACC Mall's Euro Moda in Shah Alam. The fabrics there are really gorgeous but yeah, the price is drop dead expensive, for an engagement. Its not that I can't afford it but I just think that those kind of price for just an engagement is not worth it. If its for a wedding, I really won't think twice to grab it. Hehehe.

After make a tour in the outlet, we make a move to Jalan TAR. It is such an amazement to see that there are no traffic problem in Jalan TAR. I guess its because of Raya. I'm glad that its easy for us to find a lot to park the car.

at The Harrisons, Jalan TAR

Mama and my aunt were busy choosing the colors. We've decided to do with the offers as we don't have to waste more time in choosing. Actually the white color fabric is the most beautiful fabric at that time. I immediately fall in love with it. But I don't want to buy it now cz I want white to be the color for my solemnization. Thou, that is really gorgeous !

They've decided that the peach color will suit me the most.
So my aunt are doing the final check to make sure that the fabric are fine.

We also went to look for the veil, tudung and headgear on the same day. At last, I managed to have a strikethrough on my checklist ! I know I haven't provide my full checklist as it is actually in my organizer but I think I'll provide it later.

Changes in Mind

I know. I had been wondering about the colors for quite a while now. And guess what, I had made up my mind. I had agree with my dearly mother's suggestion...

The theme should be...

[Chocolate, Peach, Gold, Ivory] - picture from The Perfect Palette

Mama wants me to wear soft colors that suits my skin. So that is why she suggested peach as the basic color. So I mix and match few colors for the decorations based on the environment of my own home. This is how I come out with this palette. And yeah, somehow this palette seems like complementing the fall season that the four seasons countries experiencing now.. :)

I'm thinking and still keep on thinking

Late last night I was lying in bed, lazily... while browsing through some other bride to be's blog. Then all of a sudden I came up with one crazy idea. I want to have a photoshoot. Something like a pre-wedd photoshoot but I think it'll be more like pre-engagement photoshoot... *maybe* When I think about that idea, I had only one photographer in my mind who is actually my classmate. Things even get better after I talked to him. I told him about my crazy demand in order to ask for his service. And you know what, he just gladly said yes. He didn't even ask for payment even though I insist to. For those who didn't really have any idea of how a pre-wedd photoshoot looks like, you should take a look at these adorable couples... :)

The Couple: Elly and Johan
Theme: Back to School
Pictures from: The Babbles of a Bride

The Couple: Amy and Atim
Theme: Outdoor Photoshoot
Pictures from: Your Wedding Inspirations

Aren't these pictures great ? I really love their pictures and the ideas.

Sadly, up until now I can't make up with any cute ideas for the shoot. A friend of mine were suggesting that it should be like "The couples went to town" where me and Mr.Heart will have to wear wedding gown and tuxedo just like the western wedding couples. The cute part is that these couples went into town wearing that. Might be in bus stop or anything like that... The idea is really cute but i think for a girl who wears hijab like me... It'll be quite hard to find a suitable wedding gown. Plus, it'll have to rent the gowns.

So now... I'm still searching for another cute theme... Ideas anyone ?

*blink blink* I think I choose...

When it comes to make / planning an event... The first thing that we should think is the theme, right ? This is where my first problem lies... In my case, the theme color. What color should I choose for my engagement?

Basically I had the idea of having a navy blue + peach (creamy) theme for engagement. Or I could have something mixed with silver. I love the purple families which includes violet and magenta. So I was also thinking of having them mixed with silver. Not all the color in the family, of course... Magenta maybe ? The color should be something like this...

The navy blue + peach color is seriously adorable... don't you think ?

Magenta + silver looks so cute !
These colors really make it hard for me to choose one.
But yeah, I think it'll be harder to find things that is magenta in color.

Or I could choose purple to be mixed with silver just like this dress.
It kinda look great.
But I think this color is quite common in Malaysia, right ?

So, who vote for navy blue + peach ?

And yeah, I can't choose chocolate or pink for my engagement because I already had my eyes set to make the combination of chocolate and pink as my wedding theme color. Nyum nyum ~ It'll be yummy just like Chocolate Strawberry ! :)
